Night-time routines are hard to stick to. On top of this, it’s easy to forget to add in some R&R into this routine. It’s so important to continually look after yourself, and you shouldn’t feel guilty about taking a couple nights every week for some self-care time.
There’s a lot of self-care information online, and though it can be incredibly helpful, it’s also overwhelming and can add more stress. To help alleviate some pressure, we’ve listed a small but effective list of our favourite self-care night-time tips that will leave you waking up rejuvenated and ready for the day.
Say goodbye to blue-light
Technology is addictive, we get it, but there’s no greater energy reviver than taking a break from your phone or laptop. In these unprecedented times, we’re on our phones and laptops more and more so taking a break will do you the world of good. Not using blue light before bed will not only give you a better sleep but will help your skin to have a break from their damaging UV rays.

Overnight face mask
Face masks and self-care go hand-in-hand. This is perfect for anyone rushed for time. Overnight masks will provide you with all the normal face mask benefits in a more convenient fashion. They’ll leave your skin feeling healthy and hydrated, the perfect combination.
Plan for tomorrow
Whether it’s laying out your outfit or packing a lunch, taking the pressure off the morning rush will leave you waking up that much more relaxed (it may even let you sleep in a tiny bit longer).

Have a tea
There’s no better feeling than finishing off a day with a warm cup of tea in your pyjamas. Teas can also be really good for your skin with their anti-oxidant, anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties that help your skin to glow.
Read a book or start a journal
A traditional but great self-care ritual, simply reading a good book or writing in a journal just before bed is a great way to calm your mind and unwind from the day.
Introducing these simple steps into your night-time routine can make such a huge difference. Remember, the aim of these rituals is to help you unwind, destress and re-energised.
