An ode to Timothee Chalamet and his Cool guy Style

I don’t know what kind of rock you’re living under if you don’t know who Timothee Chalamet is at this point in time, but if you find yourself bewildered by the notion that this person is well known, I’m here to pull you out from under your pebble.

See, my friend, Timothee Chalamet not only possesses the coolest name in Tinseltown, but the most suave sense of style we’ve seen from the famous men crowd in quite a while. He’s even revived and reinvented what it means to have, dare I say, swag.

The level of chill he personifies and the state of cool and collected he seems to permanently display no matter contributes to his ability to pull of some of the most daring looks red carpets (and the streets) have seen, but that does not make them any less impressive.

Check this out. Coordinated shirt and pants in the colour of your grandma’s curtains? Has never looked more stylish. Is it an outfit you’d wear to the supermarket or your cousin’s christening? Why can’t it be both! The guy makes it look so easy you think he could somehow make it both.

A black harness with what appears to be an all-cuff no-collar shirt? No problems, says Timothee, for I shall pull it off. Not only does he make this look, in whatever way, like something any one of us could just as easily rock, but he does it with his Mum in tow, no less.

Green velvet jacket? ‘I love French cinema’ button? That’s it guys, we’re done for the day. We’ve found the epitome of cool.

STOP THE PRESSES! He’s stolen Emma Wiggle’s yellow skivvy and MC Hammer’s pants and how does he do this? How on Earth could this possibly be an outfit that looks good on anyone, let alone someone sitting next to Saoirse Ronan, the ultimate cool girl?

Look guys, I don’t have the answers. We may never know what the Chalamet secret to a constant-state-of-looking-cool is, but we can sit back and applaud. So go into the rest of your day knowing that if Timothee can pull off a glittery black horse bridle and a yellow skivvy, anything is possible.
