Beatrice Adenodi’s social initiative “Mindless Behaviours” is a social experiential platform that strives to build community awareness of deeply ingrained behavioral patterns that can be barriers to personal growth. Through her own as well as other individuals’ social experiences, the platform effective communication tools that enable people to increase self-awareness, enhance perceptions and implement problem-solving tactics in everyday life.
Additionally, Beatrice has created her won consulting firm “Mirror Ink, Inc”, where she helps small businesses reflect on their work in order to progress.
CrowdInk was fortunate enough to dig a little deeper into Beatrice’s story, chatting one-on-one with the founder of these two exceptional start-ups that turned into innovative platforms.
What’s the Inspiration Behind Your Business?
As a Nigerian American living in the US, I have always been between two cultures. I had to learn how to adapt and understand my environment from different perceptive, through my personal and professional journey. I have developed considerable skills that served me through my career, especially in marketing and consulting. I felt that there was no place for me, and I needed to forge my path. I was better off using my skills to support the communities than being behind a desk. As a result, I created my business consulting firm called Mirror Ink that helps small business owners and entrepreneurs to move from reactive to reflective in their professional. After working with multiple clients through the years and some of my personal experiences, I noticed that we also had a handful of problems that most of us struggled with universally. As a result, I launched my social initiative called Mindless Behaviors and released my book in October 2020 called Mindless Behaviors: Breaking Through Unseen Barriers. It sheds light on universal behaviors that we struggle with daily that go undetected because they are micro-issues that eventually become massive. My goal is to create a generation of hopeful people that leads to fulfilling lives.
What is the Problem You’re Trying to Solve? Or USP?
The problem that I am solving is the lack of awareness that we have in society that puts us in repeated patterns that are unhealthy due to the indoctrinated behaviors that we pick up along the way. Also, reactive thinking leads to unfavorable situations in the end.
Who is Your Ideal Customer?
My ideal customers are small businesses and Entrepreneurs for Mirror Ink. For Mindless Behaviors, educators, community leaders, and HR professionals
Have you Been Impacted by Covid, if so how have you Pivoted Your Business?
Yes, my business was impacted by Covid. Since I am a business consulting firm that specializes in strategy, planning, and logistics. 50% of my work was event planning, and the other 50% was marketing, branding, and education. Since Covid, I have focused more on the education part of my business, marketing, and social initiative. Although I still do events, it’s going to be a minor part of my business moving forward. I was going to transition out of it, but Covid made it possible to do it faster.
What are Your Goals for 2022 and Beyond?
My goals are to increase the education part of my consulting firm. I would like to offer business/ marketing workshops and increase awareness of my Mindless Behaviors book and program.
What Advice do you Have for Other Aspiring Female Entrepreneurs?
My advice is to keep going even in times you want to quit! Make sure you create balance for yourself and time for your loved one. Lastly, don’t be afraid to ask for help!
