After leaving a job as a financial advisor that didn’t truly allow her to pursue her love of photography, Laima attended the Photography Studies College and opened White Chilli Photography in 2009.

Since then she has lent her extraordinary eye to everyone from couples on their special day to families looking to forever remember their child’s youthful bliss before they grow up.

Like so many artistic careers, Laima’s actually began ironically after just missing the cut for a high-school photo course she was dying to take. Not to be deterred by this small setback, she left for a holiday trip to Darwin with a brand new camera and a dream.

With White Chilli Photography, Laima is able to set herself apart from other photographers with her personable connections with her subjects. She deeply values getting to know each individual and creating a vision that matches their own.

Choosing a location to shoot can be a difficult task, but once White Chilli photography learns a bit about the client, finding the perfect place to set up can be anything: a garden, a graffiti wall, a cafe, as long as it is something meaningful

One couple took their wedding photos at a favorite pub where they first met, while another re-visited the garden the proposal happened.

While White Chilli Photography does everything from family shoots to portraits, Laima admits wedding photography is her favorite. Laima loves to, ‘build a story of images and create a lasting memory that records the very essence of their special day.’
