The silly season is officially upon us, which means it’s time to put our chefs’ hats on and whip up some Christmas desserts for the family to feast upon. Here we have three easy to make, cheap and yummy Christmas dishes that are sure to be crowd pleasers.
Rumballs.
A traditional favourite, rumballs are a fun Christmas treat to serve as both dessert and snacks throughout the day but be warned they are a little messy to make. Although they’re so yummy that Dad might accidentally eat twenty of them before they are even on the table.
Chocolate Ripple Cake.
An Australian favourite that’s sure to please! The combination of chocolate flavoured biscuits and layers of whipped cream is one that will please even the fussiest of tastebuds. To add some different flavours, try crushing peppermint chocolate on top or serving with berries.
Mixed Berry Eton Mess.
You read that correctly, this one has mess in the name! If you’re looking to add a mixture of fruit into your dessert’s menu, you can’t go past lots and lots of berries. An added bonus for anyone who doesn’t think of themselves as a perfectionist when it comes to plating, this dessert looks delicious even as a mess!
