Say goodbye to lugging heavy bags of pet food from the shop. From today, you can order bulk supplies of your doggy’s dinner all from the comfort of your car thanks to the new Drive-Thru station at The Greenery Garden & Home in Melbourne’s Heidelberg.

The creator of ‘The Drive Thru’ concept, Karen Conrad, says, “I love the idea of buying dog food in bulk as it saves a lot of money, but lugging those heavy bags around is no fun for anyone. So, I thought as we already offered our customers a drive-thru service for landscape supplies, why not extend it to bulk pet food and pet supplies? And just like that, our Doggy Drive Thru was born!” says the managing director of The Greenery Garden & Home.

Along with bulk pet food for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens and rabbits, you can also purchase pet beds, kennels, kitty litter and straw for rabbit and guinea pig enclosures from the Drive Thru.

“Customers can also collect all their purchases and pick up garden supplies such as bagged mulch, potting mix, sand, soil conditioners, compost, lucerne, pea straw, sugar cane mulch, pine bark, fertilisers, pavers, steppers, raised garden beds, the complete Vegepod range, gardening tools and firewood holders and pits – all without leaving the comfort and warmth of their car,” says Karen.

How does it work?

Customers simply drive in and order and pay at the window, exactly the same way you pay for your burger and fries, and the products are loaded into their car for them – easy and COVID-safe, as well.

Of course, if you feel like browsing, simply park in a’ browse’ lane and check out the huge range of products on offer.

The Greenery Garden & Home is a second-generation family business. Under new leadership, it is creating a different type of retail experience, embracing garden and home with an emphasis on food and pets.
