Regulating content on a constantly expanding platform is a hard burden to bear. And it’s one that Zuckerberg and Facebook have had to deal with since day one.
Recently, digital publication The Guardian released information they had found during investigations revealing the rules and guidelines set for what users can and cannot post on their accounts.
The Guardian claims this information will help with the ongoing debate regarding the ethics and role of Facebook. Many are now expressing their concern for the inconsistencies surrounding the guidelines, following issues such as hate speech, violence and sexual content.
The reveal has sparked conversation from both sides: those demanding the right for free speech and those claiming that more regulation needs to be done in particular instances.
These Facebook Files are now available to anyone on The Guardian.
