Charley Faraday on What it is Like to be the Jack of all Trades

Born into a family of entrepreneurs and business owners, Charley knew that she wanted to follow in their footsteps when it came to starting her own business. From opening and closing a jewellery store, to acting on her passion for graphic design, Charley knows the challenges first-hand when it comes to building a start up.

CrowdInk were fortunate enough to hear about Charley’s journey into entrepreneurship, chatting one-on-one with the founder of “My Jack”.

What’s the Inspiration Behind Your Business?

I grew up in a family of Entrepreneurs, so owning my own business always seemed the thing to do. When my life suddenly drastically changed in undesirable ways, it threw me into a severe depression – that is when I started my business MyJack. It pulled me out of my depression and on track to do what I’ve always inspired to do…. have my own Graphic Design business.

What is the Problem You’re Trying to Solve? Or USP?

My business is still in its “startup phase”, so my biggest obstacle is getting my name and my company out there so that I can start pulling in clients.

Who is Your Ideal Customer?

It would be a Client who is open-minded, and trusts the professional perspective of the Designer, and accepts the ideas put forth to them regarding their design project.

Have you Been Impacted by Covid, if so how have you Pivoted Your Business?

With my type of business, i can work remotely on design projects anywhere, regardless of where my Client is located – no matter how far of a distance there is. So, I would say my type if occupation is ideal and not much impacted by the Covid situation.

What are Your Goals for 2022 and Beyond?

I hope to have established my business enough to where I am pulling in Clients from all over the US, accompanied with a steady work flow streaming in.

What Advice do you Have for Other Aspiring Female Entrepreneurs?

If you find yourself stuck with little to no hope at some point in your life, and you feel as though you have nothing going for you – just remember that you are now in a position to go in any direction you can imagine to; so use it to your advantage and set yourself on the path of your dreams, because the only direction you can go, is FORWARD.
