5 True Crime Documentaries to Binge on Netflix

We can’t deny that we love Netflix’s docuseries, especially those that are more peculiar and scandalous in nature such as True Crime shows. Trust me, you’re not the only person who watches True Crime shows in their past time. Here’s some of my favourite Netflix’s True Crime documentaries.

  1. Cold Case Files

Cold Case Files is a documentary about murder cases that went unsolved for decades that eventually resurfaced, solved and closed. Every episode makes it very nerve-wrecking and satisfying to watch at the same time because of the plot twists and “happy endings”.

Rating: 9/10, my personal favourite.

2. Unsolved Mysteries

Unlike Cold Case Files, this Netflix Original documentary is about cases that are still unsolved up until now which will make you come up with your own conspiracy theories. What’s interesting about this show is some of the cases are being re-investigated due to more and more inflow of tips that can be submitted on Unsolved.com by witnesses.

Rating: I would give it a 7.5/10

3. Abducted in Plain Sight

Not so much of a TV show, this documentary runs for 90 minutes and is definitely worth watching. The Netflix Original documentary tells a story about a 12-year-old girl abducted by her own neighbour, hence the title. The story is too mind-blowingly disturbing to be real but unfortunately, it actually happened.

Rating: 9/10, Love those plot twists!

4. Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

If you’re feeling a little political, this documentary is for you. This show unfolds the scandalous and luxurious life of Jeffrey Epstein and his friends (which includes some American politicians) and how they abuse teenagers.

Rating: I would give it a 7/10

5. Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes

The name Ted Bundy became more famous after this documentary went viral. It was even adapted into a movie, Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile, starring Zac Efron as Bundy. This documentary will give you the all the chills and thrills about real-life murder cases.

Rating: I would give it 8/10

Of all these shows, my personal favourite would be Cold Case Files as the ending of every episode tends to be more satisfying as the crimes were successfully solved. If you haven’t already signed up on Netflix, you can sign up here and enjoy unlimited options of True Crime Shows.
