Dandenong Plaza will be celebrating Eid with free family friendly activities on Saturday, 22 April 2023 from 11am to 2pm.
Eid marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan and is celebrated by spending time with family, feasting and gifting. Although Eid Festival dates vary worldwide the official date in Australia is 22 April 2023.
The owners of Modesty Collection at Dandenong Plaza shared insights into the most popular items customers request in the lead up to Eid celebrations. The list included, colourful new clothes in particular women’s dresses, marshmallow and jelly style lollies, new framed pictures of beautiful mosques from around the world and decorations such as banners and lanterns.
Dandenong Plaza’s free Eid themed activities on Saturday, 22 April includes free henna, face painting, and an animal farm in centre.
Says, Ms Anne Johnson, Centre Manager at Dandenong Plaza, “Eid is a significant calendar event celebrated by many of the centre’s retailers, customers, contractors and staff. We look forward to hosting Eid themed activities to celebrate with our wider community.”
