The New Film Boss Baby Has Left Me Quite Confused

There have been a number of films over the years that have left me scratching my head over in the past years, but after walking out of the theatre and coming past a particularly interesting billboard, I became even more uncertain over the future of the film industry.

The film was called The Boss Baby, and the sheer simplicity of such a concept baffled me over why anyone would want to fund it.

Particularly considering I can’t help but think the film was inspired by a rather old meme known as ‘godfather baby’ (pictured below).

What I can gather from the trailer, The Boss Baby follows a child whose parents have just returned home with a newborn baby. But the baby wears a miniature suit and holds a briefcase. Later at night, the protagonist discovers the baby can speak and may have ulterior motives. What happens next we can only guess.

At this point, I’m not very impressed nor interested. But hey, it could be a fantastic movie, and this is only a first impression. If you’re looking for something light-hearted and easy, this might just be your type of flick. Check out the trailer below to see what I’m talking about.
