Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls

Compiled and illustrated by an all-woman team, the first Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls raised over $600, 000 US on Kickstarter. Authors Elena Favillia and Francesco Cavallo transformed 100 inspiring biographies into captivating fairy-tales for girls and boys. Ranging from tattoo artists and weight lifters to scientists and monarchs, the collection exhibits epic women, both past and present.

At the end of the first campaign, Favillia and Cavallo cited an astounding 13,454 supporters from 75 different countries. A fan-base that has obviously stayed with the team as the sequel, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls 2, reached the $100, 000 goal in just 3 hours.

Not only were fans of the campaign happy to fund the project, but the team were flooded with suggestions for the sequel. As a result, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls 2 boasts an even more diverse range of women, complete with a map to source the heroines.

Taking their campaign to the next level, Favillia and Cavallo have also revealed plans for a series of twelve minute podcasts filled with the audio adventures and songs pulled from the lives of empowering women.

With 6 days to go, the Kickstarter has raised over $600, 00. It’s safe to say that I’m not the only one excited to see this project come to fruition.
