Don’t get intimidated by the price tag, just yet, ladies.

Finding a great foundation is probably the hardest thing to do when it comes to makeup. We’re all looking for the one and only, the perfect fit. It can be such a challenge, especially when we’re looking for one that feels, looks, and wears perfectly, of course, without causing a breakout.

We’ve all been there. We walk into our local makeup store and are overwhelmed by the prices. Often, we might wonder whether or not the high priced products really do what the labels claim. In an effort to speed up the process, I turn to my friendly neighborhood makeup artists to give you the top 4 high-end foundations that live up to the expectations.

  1. Dior Skin Airflash Spray Foundation, $62

Long lasting, sun protected, medium to buildable coverage, suitable for all skin types.

If you are looking for that perfect airbrushed look, this foundation can give you that almost-photoshopped flawless finish. I recommend wearing this on any special occasions, aka, date night, you know the drill.

I know this foundation is titled as a ‘spray foundation’, however, don’t ever spray it directly onto your face.

Shake well before using, spray a decent amount on the back of your hand, then dab it with a brush and apply evenly on skin.

  1. Make Up Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation, $50

Long lasting, light to buildable coverage, suitable for oily, combination skin. Perfect for summer.

Team this with the Urban Decay All Nighter makeup Setting Spray, it will be, literally – heat proof, rainstorm proof, disaster proof, etc.

One thing really worth mentioning about the foundation is that if you sweat the foundation doesn’t melt away, but instead becomes this natural-looking finish on your skin.

This foundation will get you ready for all your up-close selfies, too. This foundation is favorited by multiple famous makeup artists due to its fantastic, traceless performance in front of HD camera, which is why they titled the foundation as ‘HD’. It offers a natural finish, but still provides decent coverage.

  1. Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation $55

Long lasting, decent coverage, semi-matte finish, suitable for all skin types, perfect for oily skin. A total winner when it comes to color choices.

When I say this foundation doesn’t crease(ew), it literally never creases, EVER. Hourglass can do no wrong. Not only do they have fantastic makeup brushes, they also offer some perfect skin base products, too. This foundation’s formula strikes a balance between matte and dewy, which is no easy feat.

  1. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, $62

Giorgio Armani’s foundation line is still one of the best in the industry.

The best way to describe this foundation is that: it is super lightweight, it feels like liquid silk on the skin. While yes, Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation is a bit of a splurge, you get your bang for your buck with this buildable-coverage base.

One user actually commented on Nordstrom saying: “I search for foundations that can literally do it all for my combination/oily skin, and this has definitely made it into my holy grail stash. It provides a light to buildable coverage, smoothes over texture and pores effortlessly, doesn’t emphasize dry patches, and doesn’t break up around oily areas on the T-zone throughout the day.”

This foundation blends like a dream and dries to a very natural and comfortable finish. Even though it has the word “luminous” on the bottle, it’s far from shiny or overly dewy. In fact, it has just the right amount of radiance to mimic real skin. This makes it an ideal foundation for everyday and night-out use.
