I’m no beauty guru, nowhere close. I’m super busy and don’t have the luxury of devoting hours to researching how to maintain my skin and hair. Here are some unconventional quick tips on how to look like a celebrity in minimal time – by the celebrities themselves.

Kim Kardashian- Ever got makeup stains on a white top that completely ruined it? Shaving cream is your savior. Kardashian advocates applying it to the stain, then washing it lightly. If it’s a tough one, “use a drop of rubbing alcohol mixed with the shaving cream,” she says in a blog post on her app.

Blake Lively- The bottom half of our hair is always the frizziest, most brittle part. Lively told Byrdie that she combats this by covering the bottom half of her hair with mayonnaise or oil before showering so that when she shampoos, the soap won’t strip that area and dry it out.

Natalie Portman- Have acne? Maybe look less to skincare products and more to your diet. The actress told The Cut that eliminating dairy and eggs from her diet was the only thing that completely eliminated her adult acne.

Emma Watson- She divulged a sloppy mascara quick fix to Marie Claire: “If you make a mistake [with your mascara], dip a cotton ball into some foundation to remove it and conceal it at the same time.” Talk about a 2-for-1!

Zoe Saldana – Need a last minute dye job on the go? Use alcohol. The star puts rum in the end of her hair to get an ombré look as alcohol bleaches hair in the sun. She credits this as a natural way to get highlights, but we recommend trying this out only if you know what you’re doing. Or, you know, #YOLO.

Kate Winslet – Do you wake up with a puffy face every morning? Turn down the thermostat. Winslet makes sure to always keep her bedroom temperature low to reduce bloating.

Kaia Gerber – As the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, she’s our go-to for beauty advice. One of her unconventional tips is that, unlike most people, she never spritzes perfume onto her clothes, telling Covetuer that fabrics alter the scent, so she always sprays it directly onto her skin.

Olivia Munn – She’s one of the few in Hollywood who openly declares carbs as friends. She swears by eating Japanese sweet potatoes daily to keep her skin glowing and protected from wrinkles. She told The Cut, “Usually, in the morning, I ‘d get pillow creases [on my face]…now, the line would be gone as it was when I was younger.”

Priyanka Chopra – The Bollywood star uses a traditional Indian DIY lip scrub formula taught to her by her mother. Add a pinch of sea salt and a few drops of glycerin and rose water to a bowl. Mix and rub it gently over your lips, which will then be “plumper, pinker and smoother,” she tells Vogue.

Gigi Hadid – Why spend money on pimple creams when you can use toothpaste? The model dabs it on her pimple, wets a small piece of toilet paper, puts it on her finger, presses it over the top of the pimple and peels the excess paper off around her finger. It locks in the toothpaste while the paper dries throughout the night. In the morning she places a wet towel on it and voila, the pimple is dried out.
