Look the Part: How to ace Your job Interview

A lot of work goes into preparing for a job interview. There’s research to do, answers to prepare and planning to be done. Job interviews are nerve-wracking enough without having to stress over what outfit to wear. We’ve got three tips to make looking the part for your job interview easy.

Match With The Company

Your pre-interview research should include researching what type of interview-attire will be suitable. Look at the company’s social media and website, this should help provide insight into what style is most appropriate. If it’s a super casual company then dressing in your most formal attire will stand out in the wrong way, as will dressing like a grandma if the company is supposed to be hip and on trend.

Be Comfortable

If you’re uncomfortable, it will show. Make sure you feel comfortable in your chosen outfit, you don’t want to be restricted in pants that are too tight or a jacket that is too stiff. In the same way, an interview is an opportunity to express who you are, so dress in something that makes you feel comfortable and reflects your personality.

Formal is Always Best

If in doubt, you will always be most successful in your interview when over-dressed rather than under-dressed. Stick to clean, simple and well-pressed clothing, erring on the formal side. Avoid wrinkles or marks, make sure your shoes are shined and hair is brushed.
