What is It?
The Million Paws Walk is RSPCA’s biggest fundraising event so make every step count by registering at www.millionpawswalk.com.au This year, those who register online and create a fundraising page will receive a FREE RSPCA Frisbee for their pooch.
Every dollar raised through entry fees, the sale of merchandise and online fundraising will help fund RSPCA Victoria’s critical work, including the care of more than 28,000 animals entering our shelters each year.
Who Can Attend?
Million Paws Walk events are open to people of all ages and their four-legged friends. All dogs are welcome, whatever the age, size, breed, or ability. And if you don’t have a dog, simply join fellow animal lovers and dogs on the walk and enjoy the day’s festivities.
Those wanting to show their support for the Million Paws Walk can purchase something from a range of merchandise for people and dogs either online or at the event.
What do the Events Actually Look Like?
Albert Park’s Million Paws Walk event will be a festival of entertainment for people and pooches alike. There will be live entertainment, dog agility demonstrations, vet advice, dog washes as well as many product and food stalls.
There will also be the opportunity to enter one of the very popular pet dog competitions judged by celebrity guests with Tim Campbell as MC for the day.
Olympic swimmer Belinda Hocking will judge the best owner look-a-like competition; best pet selfie will be judged by MKR and Dancing With the Stars finalist Ash Pollard; Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux will decide cutest pet; TV host and Myer ambassador Lauren Phillips will judge best trick; and RSPCA Victoria CEO Dr Liz Walker will oversee the Hills Pet Nutrition eating competition.
A Final Note:
“By taking part in a Million Paws Walk you’ll be helping to fight animal cruelty while enjoying a great day out with like-minded dog lovers,” Dr Walker said.
