Nokia’s latest release, Nokia 8, recently hit stores worldwide and its primary feature is out to change the selfie world forever. No longer content with showing just one perspective, the Nokia 8’s rear and front-facing cameras have been designed to work in tandem. Now users can simultaneously capture what is in front and behind the camera, with this Dual-Sight technology ready to shake up the technical world.
While it may not seem to have a lot of practical, everyday use, the Nokia 8 was designed with content creators in mind. Understanding that users are creating more content than ever before – particularly live content – the new feature will be a huge bonus for the creators of live streams on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. It’s a game-changing move in the smartphone market and it seems that this time, Android has beaten Apple to the innovation punch.
The release of the new phone comes just six week after the successful launch of Nokias 3, 5 and 6, but at this stage, the Nokia 8 is the new pinnacle of smartphone technology. Other features include Nokia OZO Audio, which utilises 3 microphones simultaneously to capture sound from all around, and a graphite protected copper pipe to keep the phone cool while in use.
The Nokia 8 landed at JB Hi Fi on August 18 and currently retails for $899.
