One look at these luxurious mansions and it’s hard to stick to the claim that money can’t buy happiness.

Over seven years and $63 million in the making, Xanadu 2.0 (and yes, it’s a Citizen Kane reference) makes it to the list. Owned by Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates, this mega-mansion is said to cost around $125 million and is situated in Medina, Washington. When we say it’s huge, we mean it. 




At 66,000 square feet, it houses 7 bedrooms, 6 kitchens, and 24 bathrooms. We could probably all move in and Bill wouldn’t even notice for a good few months! It’s no surprise to see that this mega-complex features the most advanced technology, a large trampoline room, and a huge library that houses Leonardo da Vinci’s manuscript worth $31 million. 

 George Clooney

Villa Oleandra, owned by George and Amal Clooney, also has a place on this list of the most expensive celebrity homes. Perfectly situated on the banks of Lake Como, this massive 18th-century villa was purchased by Clooney in the year 2002. 




With its dazzling beauty and ornate features, this Italian mansion was even chosen as the filming location for Clooney’s movie, Oceans 13. It features a total of 25 rooms, an outdoor theatre, landscaped gardens, a full gym, tennis court, and pool. It even has its own separate pizza room and a massive garage for Clooney’s motorcycle collection.
