What’s the Inspiration Behind Your Business?

As a Prosperity Coach, I teach women how to get a better relationship with their money through proven wealth-building strategies. This desire developed as I was moving up the corporate ladder as a promising TV Producer. I had left my hometown and moved to New York to work at CNN News. I made it! Or so I thought. Soon, I realized that I had the “ideal job,” prestige, benefits, and access to perks but I didn’t understand how money works. I also noticed that other professional women lacked financial education, therefore many of them had challenges managing their money well.

From there I became engrossed with how to build wealth. I was mentored by millionaires and acquired several licenses: Life Insurance, Annuities, Series 6 and Series 63. After building a successful financial services business where I trained agents in multiple states to serve middle-class families, I then shifted my focus on helping aspiring female entrepreneurs and women in business. I noticed a gap amongst women entrepreneurs and their ability to build profitable businesses. So I created a solution to the problem – the Wealth & Wellness Network app.

What is the Problem You’re Trying to Solve? Or USP?

Wealth & Wellness Network (WWN) is an app and global community that was created to promote women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship and personal development. WWN provides free resources in the area of finance, business management, marketing, mindset and more. We offer female professionals the opportunity to learn, grow, connect, collaborate, and gain exposure.

Who is Your Ideal Customer?

Struggling female entrepreneurs and women professionals transitioning from the job force.

Have you Been Impacted by Covid, if so how have you Pivoted Your Business?

Prior to the outbreak of Covid19, I traveled abroad for a charity event my nonprofit organization (Less Privileged Ghana Foundation) was hosting. What was supposed to be a 3 week trip, turned into an unexpected 6 months of being “stuck” abroad due to borders being closed. At the time, my financial coaching business was predominately face-to-face. After accepting the fact that my office would have to permanently close, I decided to shift my business to 100% digital in order to stay afloat. As a result, I managed to create the following products during the pandemic:

What are Your Goals for 2022 and Beyond?

I am visionary with audacious goals. I am looking to build the WWN app to 10,000+ members and get corporate sponsors so that we can provide our members with seed funding/grants by the end of 2022.

What Advice do you Have for Other Aspiring Female Entrepreneurs?
