A Little History
Aphrodisiacs are named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of sexual love and beauty. The usual list of supposed sexual stimulants includes anchovies and adrenaline, licorice and lard, scallops and Spanish fly, oysters and hundreds of other items.
