Popular mummy blogger Constance Hall has addressed speculations surrounding her impressive 20kg weight loss, specifically debunking rumours that she achieved it by using the off-label weight-loss drug Ozempic.

In a Facebook post, the West Australian-based mother-of-five, who boasts a substantial following of nearly 400,000 on Instagram, responded to inquiries about her body transformation. She directly tackled accusations of using Ozempic or any other weight loss injections.

Hall noted that she has noticed a trend of people accusing others of being on weight loss injections, prompting her to question the public’s understanding of such treatments. She clarified that these injections are not the miraculous appetite suppressants they are often perceived to be, challenging the assumptions surrounding their effectiveness.

Hall’s statement serves to address the misconceptions and rumours surrounding her weight loss journey, emphasising that her transformation was not attributed to the use of Ozempic or any similar weight loss drugs.

Hall sought help from her general practitioner (GP) in early 2022 after her previous weight loss methods had ceased to be effective. Having gained 20 kilograms and feeling mentally and physically unhealthy, she expressed concerns about her escalating bad habits. Recognizing the seriousness of her weight, the doctor prescribed Saxenda, an injectable weight loss medication similar to Ozempic.

However, after five weeks of using Saxenda, Hall experienced severe nausea that made it impossible for her to continue the treatment. Feeling despondent, she returned to her doctor to explore the possibility of bariatric surgery. Surprisingly, the doctor advised against it, stating that she wasn’t at that stage yet and encouraged her to attempt weight loss on her own.

Motivated by her doctor’s confidence in her ability to revert to healthier habits, Hall adopted a form of intermittent fasting. She allows herself to eat whatever she desires until 3pm, after which she consumes only juice, water, and occasionally alcohol until bedtime.
