Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Reportedly Reveal Why It’s All Gone Wrong Since Quitting Royal Duties

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly expressed their belief that they have encountered a string of unfortunate circumstances in their efforts to establish themselves after stepping back from royal duties. The couple’s post-royal plans have not unfolded as anticipated, leading them to attribute their struggles to external factors beyond their control.

Following their departure from the royal family in early 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex secured several high-profile deals worth millions of dollars, laying the foundation for their future endeavours. However, recent setbacks such as the collapse of their Spotify deal and uncertainties surrounding the renewal of their Netflix contract have prompted them to reassess their path to building Brand Sussex.

Public backlash has also accompanied their public criticisms of the royal family, showcased in their Netflix docu-series and Harry’s memoir, “Spare.” According to an insider cited by The Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan believe that factors like the COVID-19 pandemic, economic downturns, and the deaths of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II have significantly hindered their endeavours.

The couple’s journey since stepping back from royal life has been eventful. Their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 garnered global attention, featuring damaging claims against the royal family. The subsequent passing of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II’s death further affected their plans.

Regarding their deals with streaming platforms, Spotify recently announced that they would not be renewing their contract, citing a lack of produced content. The economic landscape of the industry is reportedly impacting the future of their Netflix deal as well, as the previous substantial financial offers may not be available anymore.

Adding to the changing dynamics, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently removed their final belongings from Frogmore Cottage, severing their last permanent ties with the UK. The property, previously gifted to them by Queen Elizabeth, underwent renovations funded by the Sovereign Grant, which the couple has since repaid.

While Harry stayed at Frogmore Cottage for his recent appearance in a London court, any future use of the property as a UK base will reportedly require a private agreement with his father, with whom his relationship is currently strained, according to The Sun.
