Why You Should Solo Travel

Have you ever thought about solo travelling? Travelling alone can be intimidating, but it can also be one of the most rewarding experiences. Not only do you have the opportunity to explore new places and learn about different cultures, but you also get to know yourself in a whole new way. Here are three benefits of travelling solo:

1) You’re in control: when you’re travelling alone, you get to decide where you go and what you do. There’s no need to please anyone but yourself, so you can really indulge your interests and explore at your own pace.

2) You learn to rely on yourself: travelling solo forces you to step out of your comfort zone and depend on your own resources. This can be a great confidence booster, and it’s a valuable skill to have in general.

3) You meet new people: contrary to popular belief, travelling alone doesn’t mean spending the whole trip by yourself. On the contrary, it’s often easier to meet new people when you’re travelling solo, as other travellers are usually more open to meeting someone new. So go ahead and strike up a conversation with that fellow traveller sitting next to you on the plane – you never know where it might lead!

Although travelling alone can be hard! Here are some tips to stay safe and make the most of your time!

Plan ahead: Set a budget and know where you’re headed! This is especially important if you’re travelling to a foreign country. Make sure you research the place you’re going and know what to expect.

Be aware of your surroundings: This means being aware of your surroundings at all times and being cautious of people you don’t know. If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, trust your gut and move away from them.

Stay in touch with family and friends: Let someone back home know where you are and when you’re expected to return. Check in regularly so they don’t worry about you.

Travelling solo can be daunting but also super enjoyable and character building!
