It’s that time of year again. The Footy Festival begins today as tens of thousands of footy fans nationwide descend upon Melbourne for the AFL Grand Final Parade.

Adelaide and Richmond supporters can catch a glimpse of the players along the parade route, starting at the Old Treasury Building at 12pm, travelling down Spring Street into Wellington Parade and Wellington Parade South and finishing at Yarra Park at the AFL Grand Final Live Site at approximately 12.45pm.

Richmond will also host an open training session at the MCG at 9.45am with a brief signing session afterwards.

The Parade has been an annual installment since 1977 and, since 2007, attracts more than 100,000 fans yearly.

The AFL Grand Final Site is open 9am-6pm today and Saturday and features food trucks, live entertainment, meet and greets with AFL players, an obstacle course and footy clinics.
