AFL Grand Final: The Tigers’ Roaring Triumph

Richmond Wins Grand Final

Richmond Tigers blew the Adelaide Crows out of the water with a stunning victory of 108-60.

The Crows got off to a strong start, dominating the first quarter. But the tide turned in the second quarter as the Tigers upped the ante, finishing with a staggering 212 pressure points.

Richmond’s momentum carried into the third quarter as they forced Adelaide into submission with a score of 78-40.

The Tigers sustained their intensity throughout the game, ultimately winning them their first Premiership in nearly 4 decades, with Adelaide unable to cope with the pressure imposed by their opponents’ display of skill and intimidation.

Richmond’s last Grand Final was in 1982 where they lost to Carlton.

Co-vice captain Jack Riewoldt, overwhelmed with emotion over the historic win, dropped F-bombs during the post-game press conference: “Who would have thought, mate…we finished 13th last year, beaten by 110 points in the last round…now we’re f**king premiers!”
