We all like to stay warm during winter, often putting on layers of clothing, making sure the heater is turned up high, and consuming as much winter warmer food and drink as possible, with hot chocolates being a crowd favourite.

But a downside in rugging up and eating those delicious winter comfort foods is the guilt (and weight) of consuming the comfort foods.

But fortunately, you can have your cake and eat it too as Coach, nine.com.au’s food section, asked dietitian and funder of Travelling Dietitian, Kara Landau ‘how to turn classic cold weather meals into healthy comfort options’.
