Eurovision: The Happy, The Unhappy, The Jamala

With Eurovision 2016 wrapping up last night, Twitter is still on fire. The bottom line is that 72,915 tweets were flicking out per minute just after the winner, Ukraine’s Jamala, was announced. However, the content of those tweets ranges from massively excited to downright ticked off.

Australians are unhappy that Dami Im, their sequinned representative, was way ahead with the judges but let down by public vote.

Russians are unhappy that Jamala’s song, 1944, is pretty darn anti-kremlin.

J.K. Rowling is unhappy that her husband voted for Poland’s Michal Szpak.

And both the UK and the US are just happy Justin Timberlake was involved.

What did you think about Eurovision 2016? Massive success? Or a bit of a judging disaster?
