As summer draws closer, the weather is consistently getting warmer and makes for perfect walking temperature. As more and more Australians flock to NSW amid international travel restrictions, the key to knowing your way around is through guides.
We’ve created a guide of the best walks around Sydney. With all these walks, you’ll be able to spot incredible views of Sydney Harbour, see famous (and secret) beaches or find the best picnic spots. These are our Top 6 walks:
Glebe Foreshore Walk
Roughly 2km one-way, the Glebe walk is an easy path that winds from Bicentennial Park to the Sydney Fish markets. You’ll see some incredible views of the CBD and Anzac Bridge and the path is nice and spacious, so you can keep your distance from others.
Manly to Spit Walk
An incredible walk around the Northern Beaches, this track is a mix between bushland and short tracks. You’ll spot beautiful beaches along the way so remember to bring your swimmers for a great rest-break. The walk has a few steep and uneven parts to it, but other than that is easy enough.
Bondi to Coogee Walk
We couldn’t not put this one in. The notorious Bondi to Coogee walk is one of the most breathtaking walks you’ll ever go on. You’ll see the infamous Bondi and Coogee beaches, as well as Bondi Icebergs. The walk is 6km and, with the exception of a few steep stairs, is a pretty easy path.
Bradleys Head to Chowder Bay
Starting at Taronga Zoo Wharf, you will twist and wind your way around to Chowder Bay. This track will not only give you incredible views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, but you’ll also be walking through bushland and get to see some incredible wildlife along the way.
Hermitage Foreshore Track
Starting at either Bayview Hill Road or Nielson Park, you’ll experience one of the prettiest coastal walks in the world. A short 30-minute walk, there are great places along the way to stop for picnics, photos and rest-breaks. The walk is either paved or on a timber boardwalk, so it’s a relatively easy walk.
Cremorne Point
An easy 3km walk along the North Shore, Cremorne Point has some of the best views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and city skyline. Along the path you can also find the MacCallum swimming pool, an ocean-pool directly facing Sydney Harbour. It doesn’t get much better than this.
These are just some of the many, beautiful walks around Sydney. The perfect spots for picnics, swims and walks with friends, make sure to visit all these places this summer.
