EAT; Being located in a cool climate, the region is now known for its lush quality seasonal produce available. This is exhibited across the award-winning array of restaurants and cafés found in the Southern Highlands.

Start your morning at this local Bowral café. A focus on using the highland’s quality produce and locally grown fruit in vegetables season to season, Grand Bistro offers amazing brunch and coffee.

Harry’s on Green Lane –

Sit outside in the alfresco amongst the Citrus Grove for your lunchtime meal. Harry’s on Green Lane is nestled amongst the garden of Orangery and Dirty Jane, where you can browse the emporium, galleries and artisanal stores nearby. Specialising in classic, provincial cuisine with a wide international wine list, this is a go to for lunch and dinner.

Josh’s Cafe –

Always satisfied after a meal at Josh’s – definitely finish your foodie tour here for a dinner date. Located in the picturesque heritage town of Berrima, Josh’s café has created a menu of spicy mushrooms, zucchini flowers with goat’s cheese and pine nuts and a main confit duck to name a few. These approachable and rustic flavours is an unmissable stop on your trip to Berrima.

VISIT; It is not a stay in the Southern Highlands without a visit to one of the many wineries and farmers’ markets.

Artemis Winery –

This modern cellar door presents a list of tastings of award winning wines from the Southern Highlands along with wood-fire pizzas cooked on the weekend. The lush green lawn is ideal to spread a picnic blanket on a warm sunny day whilst enjoying the live music and the spread of food and wine on offer.
