Australia’s Hidden Gems on the Coastline

Australia is known for its beautiful beaches and picturesque holiday destinations, as we’re all aware Australia is currently faced with disastrous bush fires threatening many of our beautiful coastal towns. However, we’ve gathered a list of our favourite holiday destinations to visit once this tragedy has passed to reignite tourism and provide the loving support and attention that these wonderful small towns need.

Mallacoota – Victoria

Situated in Gippsland along the coast, with multiple beaches to see and explore, visitors can hire a boat or check out the local abalone divers’ hot spots. If the land is more your thing, Mallacoota is home to a large golf course, an outdoor bowls ground and the wonders of Croajingolong National Park. This beautiful town has a sense of community like no other.

Eden – New South Wales

Along the South Coast of NSW, is the small town of Eden, famous for their fresh mussels you can purchase straight off the wharf. Another famous aspect of Eden is their whale population, between May and November, humpback whales migrate through the town’s beaches and are easy to watch from many viewing points. If you’re looking for an experience you’ve never had before, Eden is sure to have many surprises in store.

Lorne – Victoria

The picturesque drive along the Great Ocean Road will bring you to the town of Lorne, two hours from Melbourne. The surf coast town boasts all the things you need for a beach holiday, from endless clothing stores to surfboard hire and lessons. Head to Teddy’s lookout for a beautiful scenic view, another reason the town of Lorne is sure to provide you with endless pictures for your ‘gram.

Second Valley – South Australia

Just an hour and a half from the town of Adelaide is Second Valley, sure to be one of the most Instagramable locations you can find. With a beautiful coastline of white sand and countless rock pools, the beach is secluded and perfect for a day of diving or snorkelling thanks to its beautiful underwater life and sea creatures.
