CROWDINK had the chance to sit with Jess Munday (virtually) for an interview on their success so far.

CROWDINK: What’s the inspiration behind your business ?

After making neons for our wedding we were inspired to give people the opportunity to get a neon that was affordable and accessible. There is something special about neon & our mission is to spark joy & light up lives most memorable moments ??

CROWIDINK: What is the problem you’re trying to solve?

We have team members in the US & the UK but our headquarters is in AUS. A constant challenge for is trying to work out how to create a virtual workplace that gives our team the opportunity to thrive in their roles. It’s an evolving thing that we will always be looking for new ways to make it work well.

CROWDINK: Have you been impacted during Covid? If so what have been some challenges (general)?

Before COVID-19 a large portion of our business was event-based & with COVID-19 restrictions that the entire market was wiped out overnight.

CROWDINK: How have you overcome these?

It was a little scary at first but we had to quickly adapt. We have focused more heavily on business & personal neons. We’ve also had to change some of our processes to adapt to our entire team working from home. We do more virtual meetings and have updated our shipping process.
Through COVID-19 we have actually increased our business revenue by 50% from Feb

CROWDINK: What do you believe is the future of your industry? What would it look like in 2030?

We envision the LED neon sign industry to expand, with more variations of the product & new ways to use it. Something we are always looking at as a business is to see what is next for this product & look at how we can make better products that meet our customers evolving needs.
