For all you animation fans out there you will be happy to hear that Disney has announced that there will in fact be a Frozen sequel and its set for release at the end of 2019. The much anticipated sequel follows from Disney’s highly successful “Frozen”, which was released in late 2013 and won the praise of fans across the globe as well as numerous film awards – most notably a couple of Oscars, including the Academy Award for Best Animated Picture and Best Original Song. Actresses Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell are reportedly set to reprise their roles as the newly crowned Disney Princesses; however, the plot of the long-awaited sequel is still unknown at this stage.

In other exciting news, Disney has also announced that they are in the midst of developing “The Lion King” as another film to adapt in their current production of live action remakes. If rumours are to be believed, actor and musician Donald Glover will be taking on the role of the lead character Simba. As for the portrayal of trusty sidekicks Timon and Pumba, we are set to see Seth Rogan take on the role of the flatulent warthog and Billy Eichner to portray the wisecracking meerkat. James Earl Jones is also reportedly reprising his role of Mufasa.
