It seems that the monarchy’s favourite red head Harry and his gorgeous girlfriend, actress Meghan Markle (of Suits fame), will not be walking down the aisle anytime soon.
The hottest couple in the world right now will not be wed, not because it’s too soon or because Prince Haz will never settle down, but because permission is yet to have been granted by the Queen.
That’s right royalists, it is extremely old mate Liz who gets the final say, according to English law.
The Royal Marriages Act states reigning monarchs are required to approve the aspiring spouses before any wedding may take place.
So basically if Queen Elizabeth II says no, then there will be no lavish royal wedding, despite how much the public will it to be so.
Considering Markle is yet to have met the Queen, wedding bells could be a little while away- sorry ladies.
Take comfort in the fact that you can always watch repeats of Kate and Will’s wedding whilst we wait, or Charlene and Scott’s from episode 523 of Neighbours circa 1987, if times get really tough.
