Ellen says ‘no’ to Trump Interview

Talk show host and all round funny lady Ellen DeGeneres has said ‘no’ to the idea of interviewing US President Donald Trump on her daytime show.

While talking to US Today show host Matt Lauer, who was a guest on her show last week, DeGeneres was asked if she knew Trump, saying that she ‘knew him years ago from having done a bit with him while promoting his show Celebrity Apprentice’.

“I flew in his helicopter and did a bit with him, so I knew him then”, she continued “I have not spoken to him since he’s run for president or become president”.

And when asked if she would have him on the show, she simply said “no” and clarified her answer by saying,

“Because I’m not gonna change his mind. He’s against everything that I stand for. We need to look at someone else who looks different than us and believes in something that we don’t believe in and still accept them and still let them have their rights”.
