Harvey Weinstein, co-founder of Miramax Films and producer of Hollywood classics like Pulp Fiction and Emma, allegedly harbours a history of sexually harassing and/or raping actresses.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie are the latest to join the flood of accusations against the producer.

Paltrow detailed how, before shooting for Emma commenced, Weinstein summoned her to his suite, laid hands on her and suggested they proceed to the bedroom for massages: “I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” she tells The New York Times.

Jolie recounts a similar incident of attempted assault by Weinstein, telling The New York Times that the latter made advances towards her in a hotel room in the 1990s, after which she “chose never to work with him again and warn[ed] others when they did.”

In the midst of the scandal, Weinstein’s wife of 10 years, Georgina Chapman, announced she is divorcing him, telling People his actions were “unforgivable.”
