In a display laziness, a tradie in the UK has combined work with technology and used a hover board to finish rendering a ceiling.

The video, captioned “work smarter not harder”, has been viewed nearly eight million times, shared 90,000, and liked 50,000, and shows the tradie, arm in the air and tool in hand, on the piece of tech as he manoeuvres his way around the room.

Understandably, the video caused quite a bit of debate amongst its viewers about whether or not his actions still count as work or if it is just sheer laziness, with one commenter, Jonny Hanson, saying, “I smell bulls—. I’ve never seen a plasterer that clean” and another, Heath Pam Burrill, saying, “Would have been better of pretending he was a janitor with a broom… at least that would have been believable. There is a reason there is no mud on his trowel”.

But while Jonny and Heath may be against this cheeky tradie, some are on his side, as Christopher Le Port commenting that, “He’s actually skimming correctly, drawing up only about five percent fat from the coat and sealing it consistently throughout. By the way, if you look closely, you can see a small amount of fat on his trowel blade”.

But why not check the video out for yourself and make your own mind up.
