Last year popular news presenter, Karl Stefanovic, was rumoured to be fired from his role as co-host on the Today Show.
The shock departure came after 14 years of being an anchor for Nine Network’s the Today Show. The change was said to be a result of negative publicity.
Karl was having a rough time with the media at the end of 2018 when he remarried with Jasmine Yarbrough, who is ten years his junior. Karl met Jasmine after he had left his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn.
“I think I was struggling towards the end of last year. It wasn’t a great surprise to me – in fact, it was a relief in many ways that I was taken off the Today Show, because I just wasn’t at my best,” Karl said.
Karl will return to Channel Nine for the new season of ‘This Time Next Year’ and will also have a spot on 2GB radio, The Steve Price Show.
