Also at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards as 71-year-old Cher performed her 90’s hit ‘Believe’ in a barely there two-piece sparkling outfit and also received this year’s Icon Award at the annual ceremony for her career spanning SIX decades.
As you can see by her photo, Cher’s outfit leaves little to the imagination and is reminiscent of her outfit in her “If I Could Turn Back Time” video and subsequent performances of the song.
But upon accepting her award, and officially gaining icon status, she said, “I’m 71 yesterday and I can do a five-minute plank, OK. Just sayin” and continued with, “Seeing so many powerful artists, especially female artists, emerge and take their place in history through the years has been incredible”.
Previous winners of the Icon Award include Neil Diamond, Prince, Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion.
