Following the success last year’s Festival of the Espresso Martini, gods of boozy coffee – Mr Black, are bringing the event back, bigger and better to Melbourne’s Meat Market this November 3-5.

This year will see the venue transformed into four different bar areas for coffee lovers to explore including The Mr Black Coffee Shop – White Russian slushie, anyone? Or perhaps Mr Black’s OG Espresso Martini topped with a donut is more your jam. They’ll have their usual main bar with some less-than-usual Espresso Martini variations including the The Coffee Nut Espresso Martini if you’re feeling a little fruity (recipe below). Windsor’s favourite Jungle Boy has collaborated on a Tiki Bar that you’ll find in the Garden and if you search hard enough, you might find the Everleigh Bottling Co Speakeasy bar. A dark yet inviting space, hidden in the depths of the Meat Market, full of their tasty signature bottled cocktails and (we presume) good conversation.

Add to this the delicious fare from Fancy Hanks, Zeus Street Greek, That Arancini Guy, Toasta & Co and Butter Mafia as well as beer from the legends at Holgate Brewhouse and sodas from Fever-Tree and you’ve got a tasty AF celebration of coffee and the culture it supports: food, music, liquor and creativity. Oh, and did we mention there will be donuts?

Mr Black Founder, Tom Baker says: “It’s great to be back in Melbourne for our second
year. This year’s festival is shaping up to be bigger, better and boozier than ever, with over 20 world class coffee cocktails, masterclasses, live music and general debauchery. Melbourne’s love for good coffee and craft drinking has no bounds, and we’re pleased to be able to return again in 2017.”
