With a celebrated reputation in the comfort food industry and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to burgers jam- packed with mouth-watering ingredients, Hurlston will spin a successful and flavourful flare on the well-established bar, restaurant and nightclub.

‘I was approached by Mark Hinkley and John Hatherley to come up with a new menu for The Emerson Rooftop that epitomised a collaboration between our two brands. What I returned with was a North Eastern American inspired offering set in the heart of South Yarra,’ says Jimmy.

Championing the menu will be Hurlston’s Reuben Sandwich – the type that would not look out of place on E Houston Street in New York. This true American (and Instagram-worthy), sandwich is borderline bursting with half a pound of brisket pastrami, melted Swiss cheese, juicy sauerkraut and more. In addition, there will be the Maine Lobster Roll – this scandalous piece of art, is filled with succulent lobster meat and topped with a fluffy, egg white curated mayonnaise, served inside a buttery bun and toasted to perfection. What’s more, for the month of February, you’ll have the option to wash this beauty down with a fresh, Aperol Spritz, all for an irresistible total of $30.

This impeccable spread is also completely unique to Hurlston’s usual offering. Lighter options such as lettuce tacos, oysters and a selection of nutritious salads will be available, adding a special, ‘South Yarra’ touch, and ultimately showcasing an assortment of dishes with a real point of difference. Shared with this, will of course be the hearty, comfort inspired dishes that Hurlston is traditionally known for. Items such as generously filled burgers, top-notch toasted sandwiches and crispy tender chicken will also parade the menu.

‘The Emerson’s partnership with Easey’s is a fantastic fit,’ says The Emerson venue manager, Taylor Granchi. ‘This exciting collaboration will offer our customers a well-rounded experience. We are essentially combining our strengths to create a fantastic service with wonderful food matched with premium beverages.’

We’re aware that our venue is traditionally known for being a vibrant nightclub in the heart of South Yarra. While this is still true to form, 2019 will see more focus on a fabulous rooftop dining experience, and the venture between The Emerson and Easey’s will certainly help to successfully propel this,’ says Granchi.
