While we’re still figuring out last minute plans to celebrate Australia Day and the long weekend, Figo Cantina are busy preparing a special Aussie twist on their Roman inspired pizza.
Created by the masters behind LaSvolta, Figo is home to authentic Italian pizza, offering street food, artisan gelato and boutique wine and beers, throughout Elwood and its bayside arena.
To celebrate the 26th of January, this little hub just bursting Italia, wants to be a part of the Aussie festivities.
Introducing you to the Lamington Calzone
Yep, you read that right. Think sweet strawberry jam and runny nutella, topped with toasted coconut flakes and oozing out of a crisp pizza base. Si, bellissimo.
After something slightly more savory?
Hop into the Kangaroo Pizza.
Melted fior di latte mozzarella, succulent cherry tomatoes, juicy beets, kangaroo capriccio, topped with chili flakes and a goats cheese dressing. Kangaroo never sounded more delizioso.
If you’re a stickler for all things truffle, arancini and mozzarella but still want to be in the Aussie spirit, go on down to Figo to enjoy yourself a nifty blend of both Australian and Italian cuisines in just one pizza.
